When did you start getting into crafting, and what did you start with?

My childhood was infused with creative ideas and inspirations. Ever since I was little, I had a creative eye and loved to surprise my family with small gifts made on my own. I liked to dry flowers and use them for decorating greeting cards, pictures, and family albums.

Do you work outside of your Etsy shop? If so, how do you find time for both?

I do work outside my Etsy shop as an RN (Nurse) and sometimes it is very hard to combine both of them. However, I am blessed to have a supportive husband who inspires me and helps when I am overloaded with orders.

How did you learn about Etsy?

I had ideas, my husband had experience and we were creating beautiful wall decals and selling them locally. A good friend of mine introduced me to Etsy and I was impressed by great selection of handmade items available there. At some moment I realized that I can be a seller on Etsy too and can share my work with millions of people.

When did you start your shop?

I opened Cherry Walls Etsy shop one year ago and enjoy a lot to be part of Etsy community. It's been a fantastic year and a lot of great customers and awesome memories!

Where does your inspiration for your items come from?

My inspiration comes from everywhere: reading a favorite magazine or while walking in the park and enjoying the nature. There are many things that inspire me, but mostly I am also inspired by so many customers that I love as they are so appreciative of the work we do and are happy to see their sweet homes being transformed with a little help from Cherry Walls!

Is there a certain item with a story behind it?

Every decal changes and gets better as our shop matures, we do create every decal trying to make it perfect but with time and our customers' feedback we make changes. So every design has a long story and there are many creative minds that shape every decal into something beautiful.

Do you have advice for any shops just starting?

Very important to realize early that 90% of your success will depend on whether you have very good, high quality photos of your product! This is how you get noticed and that's why people will want to talk about your product on their blogs and Facebook walls. Everybody loves great customer service! Get in touch with relevant blogs and see if they will promote you that will give your shop a great boost.

What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?

I am a foodie. Love to go to a different restaurant every time I go out for dinner. Whenever I travel I prefer to go to a local place as opposed to big food places in the city. Soo, nothing is really weird to me anymore :)

Do you have any hidden talents?

I love spending time with kids, playing with them and teaching them something new and they love it. I think I could be a good teacher, but I am not :)

Which bad habits of other people drive you crazy?

Don't even get me started! I get really irritated with people, but always keep it inside. I never even realized that some people actually do drive me crazy a lot until you asked me this question... I don't like when people are being loud and obnoxious. Slow drivers (20 MPH in 45MPH zone) drive me crazy.. is that even a habit? I think it is.

What is one thing you miss about being a kid?

I miss those afternoon naps ... miss them so much.

What was the funniest prank played on you -or- played BY you?

I will disappoint you here :)

My husband always tries to play pranks on me, but the day he succeeds is yet to come...
